SAG Demands Coverage For Deal With 'Leave It To Beaver' Star

Law360, New York (April 11, 2012, 5:09 PM EDT) -- A day after Federal Insurance Co. said it didn't have to indemnify Screen Actors Guild Inc. for a class action settlement paid to a "Leave It to Beaver" actor over foreign tax royalties, SAG filed its own motion for summary judgment Tuesday.

SAG filed the suit accusing Federal of breach of contract and bad faith arising from its refusal to indemnify the guild for $330,000 it paid in the underlying settlement with Ken Osmond, who played Eddie Haskell on "Leave It to Beaver," and other actors....
