Law360, New York (August 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The lead plaintiff in a consolidated securities class action suit against New Century Financial Corp. has requested access to documents relating to the bankrupt subprime lender’s alleged accounting fraud.

In a motion filed Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System requested a limited modification of the automatic stay placed on New Century after it filed for Chapter 11.
