Card Issuers Urge Court To Dismiss Late Fee Case

Law360, New York (August 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp. and five other credit card issuers have continued to press a federal court to toss a putative action that alleges they conspired to fix late fees charged to credit card holders.

The group of credit card issuers on Tuesday urged the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to dismiss the complaint in its entirety, claiming that the plaintiffs had not adequately alleged due process claims or violations of federal or state antitrust law.
