Gupta Investigation Targets Another Goldman Sachs Banker

Law360, New York (April 26, 2012, 6:29 PM EDT) -- Goldman Sachs Group Inc. acknowledged Thursday that federal prosecutors were looking into another one of its employees as part of a widening insider trading probe linked to the criminal case of ex-Goldman director Rajat Gupta.

Authorities have been investigating whether the employee, a San Francisco-based vice president named Matthew Korenberg, passed insider trading tips to Galleon Group founder Raj Rajaratnam, Goldman spokesman Michael Duvally said. The probe was reported earlier by The New York Times.
