ESA Suit Over SF Golf Course Between Holes But Not Over

Law360, Chicago (April 27, 2012, 5:22 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge refused to grant San Francisco summary judgment Thursday in an Endangered Species Act suit claiming its activities at a public golf course have harmed frogs and snakes, but agreed to pause the case during the city's permit consultations.

In an order that also denied a bid for partial summary judgment on a liability issue lodged by The Wild Equity Institute and its co-plaintiffs, U.S. District Judge Susan Illston wrote that the case should be stayed while the city consults with the U.S....
