Oracle Prez Tells Jury Google Litigation Was Last Resort

Law360, San Francisco (April 27, 2012, 5:52 PM EDT) -- Oracle Corp.'s president told a California jury on Friday that Google Inc. rebuffed several offers to settle their dispute over the Android platform following Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems, as testimony in the trial over Android's alleged infringement of Java copyrights wrapped up.

“We never wanted to be in this litigation with Google,” Oracle President Safra Catz said. “We reached out to Google a number of times to get this matter resolved.”
