NFL Asks 11th Circuit To Punt Former Dolphin's ERISA Suit

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 3:48 PM EDT) -- The National Football League Retirement Board asked the Eleventh Circuit on Thursday to end two-time Super Bowl champ Eugene “Mercury” Morris’ quest to receive nearly double his monthly pension benefit under the NFL player retirement plan.

Morris claims the retirement board miscalculated his monthly pension benefit based on a provision within a 1991 settlement agreement he had reached with the board relating to a disability claim.
