Hendrix Estate's $2M Suit Stalled By Film Producer's Bankruptcy

Law360, Los Angeles (May 1, 2012, 4:47 PM EDT) -- An attorney for Jimi Hendrix's estate told a California judge Tuesday that a $2 million lawsuit over a concert film and soundtrack is in limbo as the producer accused of bungling the film's release attempts to strike an unintended personal bankruptcy petition.

Uncertainty around film producer Gerald Goldstein's bankruptcy has needlessly stalled the litigation and harmed Hendrix's estate's ability to profit off the audio and video recordings in the future, an attorney representing the estate told Judge Amy Hogue, who had stayed the lawsuit in April....
