Verizon Challenges IRS Appeal In WorldCom Case

Law360 (August 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Reorganized debtor Verizon Business Global LLC has attempted to quash an interlocutory appeal filed by the Internal Revenue Service in WorldCom Inc.’s Chapter 11 case.

The move comes after the bankruptcy court sided with the information technology provider in a three-year dispute over an excise tax.
