Firm Wants Travelers Sanctioned Over Bid To Replace Counsel

Law360, New York (May 17, 2012, 2:27 PM EDT) -- Newmeyer & Dillion LLP asked a California federal judge Wednesday to sanction Travelers Property Casualty Co. of America for an alleged campaign of “Rambo”-style litigation seeking to replace the law firm in construction defect suits involving Centex Homes.

Newmeyer said in a motion that Travelers, one of Centex’s insurers, had brought a series of suits designed to intimidate and harass the firm into accepting Travelers’ appointed counsel, Bohm Matsen Kegel & Aguilera LLP.
