Disney Says CBS Shouldn't Throw Stones At 'Glass House'

Law360, New York (June 12, 2012, 2:22 PM EDT) -- The Walt Disney Co. told a California federal court Monday that CBS Broadcasting Inc. can't stop the premiere of ABC Inc.'s reality TV series "Glass House," saying that its similarities with CBS' "Big Brother" are common to all reality shows and weren't stolen by former CBS employees.

ABC and its parent, Walt Disney, argued that CBS danced around the edges of the substantial-similarity analysis that the Ninth Circuit requires to demonstrate copyright infringement because their claims can't meet the requirements.
