Lerach To Plead Guilty, Could Face Jailtime: Report

Law360, New York (September 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Securities lawyer William Lerach is expected to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy in a deal that could put him in jail and release Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins LLP from the risk of criminal charges, the Wall Street Journal reported late Monday.

Under the plea agreement, which could be announced as early as Tuesday, Lerach would get a prison term of one to two years, the newspaper reported.
