HHS Hands Out $129M In Community Health Center Grants

Law360, New York (June 20, 2012, 6:38 PM EDT) -- Community health centers in California and New York will receive the biggest chunks of nearly $129 million in federal grants authorized by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to expand such centers, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced Wednesday.

HHS awarded the grants to 219 community health centers in 41 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands. The grants will help expand health care access for more than 1.25 million additional patients and create over 5,600 jobs...
