California Passes Cloned Food Labeling Bill

Law360 (September 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A California bill that would require labeling for cloned food products sold in stores is now waiting for a signature from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, after passing both the state's House and Senate.

Bill SB 63, sponsored by Sen. Carole Migden, would require that dairy and meat products from cloned animals that are intended for human consumption be clearly labeled, should the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approve the cloned foods for sale.
