NJ Assembly Backs Mobile Gaming At Atlantic City Casinos

Law360, New York (June 25, 2012, 7:07 PM EDT) -- The New Jersey Assembly on Monday overwhelmingly approved bipartisan legislation that would allow visitors to casinos in Atlantic City, N.J., to place bets away from the gaming floor using wireless mobile devices.

Proponents of the bill, which passed in a 77-0 vote with two lawmakers abstaining, have said it will help casinos as they work to recover from the economic downturn and compete with gaming options in other states.
