Irish Fund Launches $960M MBS Suit Against Deutsche Bank

Law360, New York (June 26, 2012, 7:30 PM EDT) -- An Irish financial firm sued Deutsche Bank and several of its units in New York state court on Friday, accusing the German lender of fraudulently selling it more than $960 million in residential mortgage-backed securities at the height of the housing crisis.

Sealink, the Dublin-based fund created to manage the riskiest assets of Landesbank Sachsen AG, said it invested in Deutsche Bank RMBs in 19 offerings and 28 certificates between 2006 and 2007, according to the suit.
