Toshiba, LCD Purchasers Close Cases In Cartel Trial

Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 6:10 PM EDT) -- Arguments in the direct purchaser class action alleging that Toshiba Corp. conspired to fix prices on liquid crystal display screens came to a close in California federal court on Thursday, sending the case to a jury more than a month after the trial started.

U.S. District Judge Susan Illston told the jury that in order to prevail, the direct purchaser class needed to prove, among other things, that Toshiba intentionally took part in an alleged LCD screen cartel and, if so, that the price-fixing plot caused...
