Insurers Spar Over Defending $23.5M Casino Remodel Suit

Law360, New York (July 6, 2012, 2:14 PM EDT) -- American Guarantee & Liability Insurance Co. alleged Tuesday that Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Co. hadn’t ponied up its share of liability coverage in an underlying suit by a California Indian tribe against a casino builder over construction defects.

In 2010, Worth Group Master Builders settled for $23.5 million claims by the Jackson Rancheria Band of Mi-Wuk Indians over alleged defects in the expansion of the Jackson Rancheria Casino Hotel, American's complaint says.
