Insurance Agency Not Out Of $6.7M Suit Over Boxing Injuries

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 8:00 PM EDT) -- A Missouri appeals court on Tuesday revived a liability case against Chapman-Sander Insurance Agency over injuries to a boxer who collapsed after a fight at a St. Louis hotel but had to wait for hospitalization because no ambulance was on site.

The appeals panel found there was a question whether Chapman-Sander fully performed its duties under a contract with Doug Hartmann Productions LLC and whether plaintiffs could prove a breach of duty in negligence, overturning the trial court’s summary judgment award to the insurer and remanding...
