No Pot Of Honey For Slesinger In Pooh Battle

Law360, New York (September 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After a 16-year royalties war, Stephen Slesinger Inc. has lost an appellate battle with Walt Disney Co. over merchandise featuring Winnie the Pooh.

On Tuesday, a California appeals court upheld a 2004 trial judge's decision to toss out the lawsuit brought by Slesinger, seconding the belief that the company had obtained evidence illegally, which prevented the litigation from moving forward.
