McKinsey Partner Was 'Extraordinary' Help In Raj Case: US

Law360, Los Angeles (July 16, 2012, 10:12 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors on Monday asked a New York federal judge to consider the “extraordinary” cooperation former McKinsey & Co. Inc. partner Anil Kumar provided the government in cases against Raj Rajaratnam and Rajat Gupta when Kumar is sentenced for insider trading later this week.

Kumar's testimony against Rajaratnam, the billionaire co-founder of hedge fund Galleon Group LLC, and Gupta, a former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. director, was instrumental in securing convictions in two of the largest insider trading cases in U.S. history, prosecutors said in a letter...
