Air Force Contractors Charged Over Bribery Scheme Roles

Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 8:46 PM EDT) -- A federal grand jury indicted four men Wednesday over an alleged bribery scheme for road and roofing maintenance contracts at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, with two civil engineers accused of passing information to two private contractors.

The engineers are accused of giving sensitive information about projects to the contractors that would give them a leg up in landing government contract work from the base. In exchange, the contractors handed the engineers cash, travel expenses and other gifts, according to the 11-count indictment....
