Judge Trims RMBS Suit Against Deutsche Bank Units

Law360, New York (July 30, 2012, 2:16 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge on Friday dismissed claims against Deutsche Bank AG and two affiliates in a lawsuit claiming they misrepresented risky mortgage-backed securities to pension fund investors, but preserved claims against three affiliates for common law fraud and fraudulent inducement.

In paring down the suit, Judge Jeffrey Oing found that Netherlands-based pension fund Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP had failed to show that any of the defendants had aided or abetted in the purported fraudulent misrepresentation, dismissing all claims making those allegations.
