Reed Elsevier Sues LGBT Media Company For Unpaid Rent

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 11:25 PM EDT) -- Reed Elsevier Inc. on Tuesday sued its New York City tenant Here Media Inc., a media and entertainment company that targets a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender audience, for nearly $625,000 in rent unpaid for more than a year.

In a complaint filed in New York state court, Reed Elsevier said Here Media has failed to pay rent since May 2011 for space in Reed Elsevier's building at 245 W. 17th Street in Manhattan. The tenant now owes $624,984, according to the suit.
