Strip Club Workers Dance Off With Wage Suit Settlement

Law360, New York (August 1, 2012, 6:32 PM EDT) -- A class of employees at Manhattan's Penthouse Executive Club on Wednesday asked a New York federal court to rubber-stamp a settlement resolving allegations that the strip club denied workers minimum wage and overtime pay while also deducting gratuitous fines from their paychecks.

Named plaintiffs Lourdes Garcia and Didier Toro said the $150,000 settlement, which resolves the Fair Labor Standards Act claims of 34 Penthouse Executive Club waiters, bartenders and other service staff, represents an even-handed resolution to the class action.
