Copyright Suit Over Google Print Project Gains Steam

Law360, New York (October 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The judge presiding over the copyright battle stemming from Google Inc.’s efforts to create a vast online library of digitized books has consolidated several suits for pretrial purposes.

U.S. District Judge John E. Sprizzo issued a case management order on Tuesday. The order lumped together for pretrial proceedings the suits brought by the Author's Guild and publisher McGraw-Hill Companies over the book-scanning project.
