Visa Hit With Suit Over No-Contact Credit Cards

Law360 (October 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After reaching a licensing deal for wireless credit card transaction technology with MasterCard International Inc., A California-based patent-holding company is now suing Visa International Service Association and its affiliates over similar technology.

PrivaSys Inc. filed the lawsuit against Visa and its U.S. subsidiary in the U.S. District Court for the Northern Distict of California, and last week asked to add JPMorgan Chase & Co., Wells Fargo & Co. and their affiliate banks to the suit.
