NJ Lawmaker Accused Of Writing Bad Checks

Law360, New York (August 3, 2012, 5:50 PM EDT) -- New Jersey authorities on Friday charged a state assemblyman from Bergen County with allegedly writing nearly $400,000 in bad checks to investors with his company, which sells tents and prefabricated buildings to the U.S. military.

The criminal complaint against Assemblyman Robert Schroeder, a Republican, concerns multiple checks written to a handful of individuals who invested large sums with All Points International Distributors Inc., but the state Attorney General's Office said it's continuing to investigate allegations that Schroeder wrote bad checks to numerous other All Points investors....
