After High Court Remand, 7th Circ. Nixes Ex-Gov.'s Retrial Bid

Law360, Chicago (August 6, 2012, 3:43 PM EDT) -- Imprisoned ex-Illinois Gov. George Ryan on Monday lost his latest bid for a new corruption trial after the U.S. Supreme Court gave the challenge new life, with the Seventh Circuit finding that a recent high court ruling does not invalidate his convictions.
