States Sue Over Health Coverage Limits For Children

Law360, New York (October 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A collection of states is launching a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services over its new rules restricting health insurance plans for children.

New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer said Thursday that New York has joined forces with Illinois, Maryland and Washington in a suit against the federal department to fight the Aug. 17 regulations for the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).
