Chicago Title Rate-Gouging Suit Not Time Barred

Law360, New York (August 17, 2012, 1:28 PM EDT) -- A Connecticut federal judge on Thursday rejected Chicago Title Insurance Co.’s bid to toss a putative class action accusing the insurer of failing to apply required mortgage refinancing discounts for title insurance, saying the suit was correctly brought as a contract action and therefore within the statute of limitations.
