Wynn Wins Attys' Fees After FCPA Issue Fails In Federal Court

Law360, New York (August 21, 2012, 9:27 PM EDT) -- A Nevada federal judge on Tuesday granted Wynn Resorts Ltd.'s request for approximately $150,000 in attorneys' fees in its breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit against its former vice chairman, after finding the state claims in the case weren't dependent on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Casino mogul Steve Wynn's resort company had argued that it should be awarded attorneys' fees in the case since its former principal and defendant Kazuo Okada didn't have a decent reason to remove the action to federal court.
