Photo Studio Says Viacom's VH1 Stole Demi Moore Pictures

Law360, New York (August 22, 2012, 1:23 PM EDT) -- Viacom International Inc. faces allegations of copyright infringement from a photo studio that on Friday launched a lawsuit in California federal court accusing the media giant of using the studio's photographs of Demi Moore on its VH1 website without permission.

National Photo Group LLC says that VH1, which is owned by Viacom, earlier this year posted photos of the Hollywood actress on its celebrity news website that NPG had copyrighted and for which the entertainment outlet had not obtained reproduction rights.
