Bergstein Wins $49.5M From Atty For Forced Bankruptcies
By Jonathan Randles (August 21, 2012, 10:31 PM EDT) -- A Los Angeles jury on Tuesday awarded Hollywood financier David Bergstein and two of his film entities $49.5 million, finding his former attorney liable for malpractice and breaches of fiduciary duty for helping Aramid Entertainment Fund Ltd. launch a litigation war against Bergstein and push five of his entertainment entities into bankruptcy.
