Second Antitrust Class Against Comcast Is Certified

Law360 (October 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Five months after certifying a class that alleges Comcast Corp. stifled competition in Philadelphia's cable subscription market, a federal judge has certified a class in Chicago bringing similar allegations.

Judge John R. Padova of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted the Chicago plaintiffs' motion for class certification on Tuesday. They filed that motion in June, a little over a month after Padova granted certification to the Philadelphia class.
