Battle Over Google Fine Could Halt No-Fault Deals At FTC

Law360, New York (August 30, 2012, 8:53 PM EDT) -- Advocacy group Consumer Watchdog on Tuesday won approval from a California federal court to contest the Federal Trade Commission's decision to allow Google Inc. to deny liability in a record $22.5 million settlement over alleged privacy violations, a challenge that, if successful, could impede the agency's ability to reach similar pacts in the future.
