'Godfather' Estate Says Paramount Poisoned Book Deal

Law360, New York (August 30, 2012, 1:59 PM EDT) -- The estate of "The Godfather" author Mario Puzo asked a New York federal judge on Thursday for permission to cancel a 1969 book rights contract with Paramount Pictures Corp., saying the studio breached the deal by trying to block a new novel based on the gangster epic.
