Merck Resolves $220M Vioxx Loss Claims In 5th Circ.

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 8:23 PM EDT) -- Merck & Co. Inc. reached a tentative settlement Saturday in a proposed $220 million class action over economic losses allegedly caused by Vioxx, potentially ending a Fifth Circuit battle over whether the claims threaten the permanence of multidistrict litigation settlements.
