Ex-Penguin Exec Accuses Publisher Of Age Discrimination

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 2:37 PM EDT) -- A longtime spokeswoman for Penguin Group Inc. sued her former employer in New York state court on Wednesday, accusing the book publisher of age discrimination and an “orchestrated, coordinated” campaign to force her out.

Marilyn Ducksworth, 56, lodged her complaint in New York Supreme Court, seeking back and front pay as well as punitive damages. Ducksworth, who worked at Penguin for 27 years, accused the company of conspiring to marginalize her and other older, high-paid executives in hopes that they would leave.
