Sony Settles Suit Over "Defective" TVs

Law360, New York (October 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sony Corp. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging its rear projection televisions were flawed, with the deal largely contained to compensation for prior repairs and continued warranty protections for consumers.

Lawyers for both sides filed documents to settle the suit on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
