MBIA Seeks Jury For BofA, Countrywide MBS Fraud Claims

Law360, New York (September 18, 2012, 4:18 PM EDT) -- MBIA Inc. told a New York state judge Monday that it wants Bank of America Corp. and its Countrywide subsidiaries to face a jury on fraud allegations and the judge alone on all other issues in MBIA's multibillion-dollar lawsuit over securitized mortgages it insured.

The monoline insurer filed with the state court a note of issue, which indicates that all or nearly all discovery in a case has been completed and that it's ready for trial, saying it wants a trial by jury on its fraud...
