EU Seeks Comments On SkyTeam Proposal

Law360, New York (October 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In response to a European Commission inquiry into possible antitrust issues in the airline industry, the commission has asked interested parties to comment on a set of commitments proposed by airlines participating in the SkyTeam alliance.

Regulators on Friday asked interested parties to review the set of commitments submitted by SkyTeam members Aeromexico, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, KLM, Korean Air, Northwest Airlines and Air France. The proposals are aimed at encouraging competition for certain routes that had raised concerns about restrictive business practices....
