Freshfields Aids Liberty Global's $2.5B Offer For Telenet

Law360, New York (September 20, 2012, 2:02 PM EDT) -- International cable provider Liberty Global Inc. has made a bid to take over the rest of Belgian company Telenet Group Holding NV, in which it already holds a majority share, for about €1.96 billion ($2.53 billion), Telenet announced Wednesday.

Per the deal, Liberty Global has offered to scoop up the remaining 49.6 percent stakes it doesn't own for about €35 per share. The offer represents about a 14 percent premium over the company's average weighted closing price for the last month of €30.67, Liberty Global said....
