Fox's 'Past Life' Idea Wasn't Stolen From Screenplay: Judge

Law360, New York (September 28, 2012, 2:20 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Thursday dismissed a screenwriter's copyright suit alleging Fox Entertainment Group Inc., Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and the team behind the short-lived TV series “Past Life” of stealing the idea for a paranormal crime drama from his screenplay, saying the two works weren't similar.
