Best Buy, Apple Sued Over Canceled ITunes Gift Cards

Law360, New York (October 4, 2012, 5:29 PM EDT) -- Best Buy Co. Inc. and Apple Inc. were hit with a proposed class action Wednesday alleging Best Buy deactivates the unredeemed Apple iTunes gift cards it sells without informing customers about the cards’ expiration dates.  

In a complaint in California federal court, plaintiff Barbara Fafard claims the gift cards don’t bear an expiration date and that neither Best Buy nor Apple informs customers of when they may expire.
