Calif. Callers Hit Embassy Suites With Phone Recording Suit

Law360, New York (October 11, 2012, 3:28 PM EDT) -- A pair of California consumers are accusing Embassy Suites Management LLC of regularly recording phone conversations to the hotel company's toll-free reservation number without properly notifying callers of the practice, according to a putative class action removed to California federal court Friday.

Embassy Suites joins Wyndham International Inc. and InterContinental Hotels Group PLC as the latest hotel chain to be hit with charges of illegally recording phone calls in federal court.
