Vitamin Shoppe Suit Tossed Amid Settlement Talks

Law360, New York (October 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The plaintiffs in one of several product liability class actions against Vitamin Shoppe Industries Inc. are voluntarily tossing their claims that the nutritional supplement chain’s “Especially for Women” multivitamin contained harmful amounts of lead, as settlements are being finalized in all four suits.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs said in a notice filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California that the plaintiffs would voluntarily dismiss the action without prejudice.
