$3.8B Meadowlands Project Gets Key Environmental Approval

Law360, New York (October 29, 2012, 3:36 PM EDT) -- Developer Triple Five Ltd. received key environmental backing from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for its controversial $3.8 billion proposed retail and entertainment complex in New Jersey, known as American Dream Meadowlands, a person close to the matter said Friday.

The Army Corps gave the green light for the Canadian developer to fill about 4 1/2 acres of wetlands in East Rutherford, N.J., and dredge about 2,100 cubic yards of sediment from below the New Jersey Turnpike to make way for the 3-million-square-foot development....
