SimplexGrinnell's Del. Worker Classification Suit Tossed

Law360, Wilmington (October 31, 2012, 10:46 PM EDT) -- A Delaware judge on Wednesday dismissed SimplexGrinnell LP's suit alleging that the state's Department of Labor improperly classified its employes who worked on government projects under the Prevailing Wage Law, finding the company failed to pursue its grievance through proper channels.

SimplexGrinnell, which supplies alarm and detection systems, filed suit in Delaware Chancery Court seeking relief from the department's determination that it violated state law by failing to pay the mandated wage to employees who worked on government projects.
