First American Fights Class Cert. In Title Insurance Fee Row

Law360, New York (November 2, 2012, 9:37 PM EDT) -- First American Title Insurance Co. urged a Los Angeles judge Friday to deny certification to a putative class of California homebuyers who claim the company violated state consumer laws by overcharging on title insurance fees, saying the named plaintiff wasn’t harmed by the purported wrongdoing.
